I wonder how many lurkers (men) will now purposely infect themselves with parasites, hoping they will look like that.

Not making fun of or downplaying your condition. It looks like you've lost weight... Which I guess parasites will make you do. My case is the opposite... I still have no idea 100% if I even contracted my daughters pinworms.. but took the 2 doses of medicine because the odds are that I probably HAVE... but i have always been a small and skinny person... i turned 34 this year and put on about 6 pounds over the winter. I assumed it was a combo of age and the fact that my diet was bad... it consisted of multiple 800 calorie dunkin donuts or starbucks lattes with extra Sugar a day (id make 4 trips some days) and just complete rap... Sugar and carbs. But NOW im finding that after i took my first dose of albenza on 6/30 - i have not had any craving for lattes or sugar... And I seem to be losing weight. I've got to be under 110 pounds by now. I was 112 at the doctors on 7/3 so it should be interesting to see how much weight i lose by swapping my lattes with cucumber water. I also noticed my belly doesnt seem to be as bloated. Almost anything i consed would make my belly bloat... Since taking DE almost every day, I don't have it as much. I dont have a gallbladder to break down fat anymore, so that's a lot of my problem too.

Im very interested as to how long everyone has been infected/showed symptoms, what their general location they're from and where/how they suspect they've become infected. I understand that stuff is everywhere and anyone can become infected, but theres got to be a common denominator.
I am convinced that my daughter picked up pinworms back in may when we went to Hershey Park. The catering was a joke (school sponsored trip) they had NO handwashing facilities near the food tent and no utensils to eat with. She has been sick with diahrrea and tummy aches since right after that trip. Her pediateician didnt want to see her for it unless she was dehydrated and had i not taken her to the ER, where an asian doctor (resident) got suspicious and ordered a stool sample and i saw the creepy little things myself..
Hershey Park was the only public outting since spring.. so it has to be it.
