Yep.. it's said to originate from Plum island as a biowarfare type of thing.. god knows what else is a creation of theirs. I'm in the PA Appalachian mountains and at one time everything was pure here.. now we have people getting west nile.. the newspaper reports weekly of the newly confirmed cases and there's something new but i forget what it is. It makes you afraid to go outside anymore. I had gotten a nasty spider bite on my foot over a nonth ago when i was setting the pool up for the summer and this thing swelled to maybe half the circumfrence of a golf ball and the doctor wouldnt see me.. they said to take benedryl. My neighbors are bee keepers and gave me raw honey to put on it and i swear that saved my foot from a disfiguring wound. It's still not healed yet but scabbed over and the skin grew back. My other a**ho** neighbors have all kinds of stuff that attract bugs like a fish pond and fruit trees.. but they're all towards MY side... so i get all their nasty bugs.
