Re: Seepage pit not seeping

I measure the pit tonight--the pit is still 12 feet deep (has not filled with sediment or solids) and is filled with 11ft 9 inches of water!!

If I get your link info right, it looks like a good path for me might be a Sodium percarbonate/ Hydrogen peroxide treatment (in the pit) followed by an aerator (in the pit). Does this sound right? Is there long-term success with this setup?

The tank was installed 50 years ago, when the house was built, at a "normal" depth and then they put fill over it to level out the backyard. When I bought the place 20+ years ago, the tank entry lid had a small riser on it but was still two feet down. I had taller riser installed bringing it to the surface, but the exit lid likely has no riser and is about 5 feet down.
