Different cell types have different life spans or natural cellular turnover rate.

Tendon/ligiments turnover is 300-500 days, red blood cells about 4 months and so on. The rate at which cells produce receptor sites is also going to vary a lot by cell type as well as environment since cells can up/down regulate receptors based on various factors.

"What does Iodine do that the other halides dont?". The simple answer is they are not essential, or even needed, by the human body. Our body does not know what to do with them and will not/can not use them as an element in enzymes or hormones.

as your aware they do however do their "own thing" which is detrimental to health.

As for "our cures", all we can do to cure anything is make sure we give the body what it needs to deal with its nutritional needs.

The gray area is that nutrients are destroyed by pathogens and toxins and can be electron donors to the immune system. In short what this means is that someone who is sick or exposed to a lot of toxins or pathogens has a much greater nutritional need. In many cases this need simply can not be met with food alone do to the sheer amount of food that would be eaten and the poor nutrient makup of the food.

Society has evolved so much faster than our bodies that we are just now learning about the negative impacts of all the chemicals, pesticides, Antibiotics etc thats dumped in our food and used to make the products we use every day.

One could actually argue the human body doesnt need a cure, it simply needs proper nutrition to fend off disease.
