I am not sensitive to detect if/when I have candida problems myself. Candida symptoms can overlap those of a myriad of other health problems, so who knows... Anyway ...
I can realte to your Sugar problems. I often can control my sweet cravings. However, when I start taking iodine, the first 5 o 7 days I have a tremendous (unstoppable) cravings for sweets. I wasn't seeing this as candida related, but as the body coming back to life with a surge of energy that needs quick fuel right there right now, being simple carbohydrates and Sugar the quickest one. After a while it tends to stabilize with more sugars than before the iodine, but still less than the first days.
Please keep in mind this is just my opinion it's not backed up on anything, I am not an expert neither on candida neither on iodine. Just my personal experience.
