Re: Wired AF debate with C.b.
About the Schwarzbein diet some recommend, that diet was developed as a counter diet to the American Diabetes Association's recommended high-carb/low-fat diet, but ADA's diet was flawed because of one simple element:
"These newly diagnosed diabetics were put on the American Diabetes Association (ADA) diet-
a low-calorie, high-carbohydrate, low-fat, low-protein program.
Low-fat dieting upsets the balance within the human body by initially increasing insulin levels, in turn causing a cascade of hormone imbalances. "

"The 1500 calorie ADA (American Diabetic Association) diet is designed primarily for those individuals who are overweight and suffering from diabetes."

"We use the American Diabetes Association nutrition guidelines when we write each meal plan.
1550-1650 calories per day"

No wonder the ADA diet causes hormonal problems, it's a starvation diet!
