Thank you for your prayers Steve. The thought of my name being carried by the Spirit to the throne of God, through the prayers of so many people is such a blessing.
This was my first time ever in my life to have fallen so hard that I broke my body. Nothing compared to our Savior allowing His body to be broken for us.
I may for a moment wondered where the angels were who could have caught me when I fell, but it was nowhere near the feeling of the moment when Jesus said to the Father..."My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" I know full well that the flesh is asking those questions, while in our spirit we realize that God never left us. For we live by faith and not by sight, for faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Isaiah 28:16
So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.
Romans 9:33
As it is written: "See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame."
Romans 10:10
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
1 Peter 2:6
For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
Romans 10:9
If you dec1are with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:8
But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim:
Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word is very near to you, in your mouth, and in your heart, …
1 Peter 1:5-9
who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
