I think that if you take an honest look at church history. Tongues (for example) is not mentioned in the church from the times of the Apostolic Fathers until the Azusa Street movement begins.

This would line up with 1 Cor. 13:8-13 with the ceasing of tongues, and the azusa street movement lines up with the false gospel that would come about in the last days.

I personally do not care, what you believe, or feel. I only care what the book says. As a person who was raised in pentecost his whole life, I understand their doctrines. As a young man I began to test these doctrines against the only authority, the word of God. As I studied the bible, I had more and more questions. So much so, I could already tell it was getting uncomfortable for church leadership. Then I started studying the history of the church from the time of John forward. I realized then, how badly malformed the doctrines I had been raised on were. Just like the by his stripes we are healed passages, that were referenced earlier, that have nothing to do with physical healing. I began reviewing old sermons and concepts I had been taught as a child, and as a young man while taking these concepts back to the greek and hebrew in the scriptures and seeing the original languages. Gave even more context into those sermons, and how badly scripture had been interpreted, and misused. Christ, and the Bible is all that matters to me. Combine that incredible book with history, and this movement is shocking. Looking at it from the outside with all of the stuff you should be getting with the health, wealth and prosperity movement. I think Jesus would be sitting outside these churches fashioning another whip, and removing these money changers from his proposed houses of worship.
