Re: Raised scars on nose are ruining my life :

I have a scar on my nose as well which I have been attempting to reduce. It occurred earlier last year after an accident where some of the skin got cut in such a way that a flap of skin came up. I didn't reattach it as well as I should of done, it should of been stretched back into place. I heal very badly and because the skin was not stretched back into place properly it left an indentation where there was no skin and it did not scab to heal it properly.

So I have been meaning to try and do something about it but I have not really spent enough time on it so far.

I have some DMSO and various oils and essential oils which are meant to be good at healing. However I did not have a suitable container for it so it's been awkward applying it regularly. I have some ointment jars on the way so I will make some up in an ointment jar and use it more often.

Helichrysum e.o
Rosehip oil
hazelnut oil
Are typical oils that are meant to good for scars. If you search google for scars and those words you should find some references.

I plan on using some of the mixed up oils, after washing the area, sterilizing it apply the oil and then apply some DMSO with Aloe Vera gel that I have. I tried DMSO/Aloe without washing and sterilizing the area and it made my skin react and become pale and raised. Washing and sterilizing and I don't get the reaction. Anything on the skin goes into the skin so washing and sterilizing seems to clear any waste products including bacteria which would otherwise go into the skin.

DMSO is a powerful stuff which has to be used carefully.
