Re: Nutritional Balancing, reports of no progress
I've noticed that if you are not getting any results with NB then something else is going on that needs attention. And I suspect, that it's going to be either on-going stress, food sensitiivies or in most cases, especially those with CFS, I am finding, is hidden infections! Onwards was spot on when she pointed this out months ago on this forum. In fact, I've just discovered I have various infections - viral and now it seems parasitic and even fungal!. If you don't focus on those at some stage you will never fully recover. So even if NB can help, it will take forever to fix an infection, if it actually can. It now makes sense to me, why my body would start to recover on NB for a while and I then I would revert back to being sick. I've discovered that it's due to an underlying infection which goes dormant (the time NB gets time to detox metals) and then active (when NB seems to stop working). IMO, NB helped but can't kill or fix infections effectively - so it was only half the picture of the treatment needed.
I would seriously look at any possible infections if NB alone has not worked in a year or two from when you started NB - which is what has happened to me. But I agree NB has at least helped me realise this, if it hadn't been for doing NB and the fact that I was still not getting results I would have never looked into the issue of possible underlying infections.
Now the hard bit is finding those microbials and then finding appropriate and effective treatment for them! But I really now believe it's essential, in addition to NB, to look into possible infections if you are not recovering desptie doing everything outlined in the NB program.
