Re: Please someone help me I feel like I'm dieing

hi nursebetty,

I wanted to share some encouragement and some of my own experience too. upearly's post had alot of good info in it too :)
I will pass on giving you my whole story for now, (its kinda long) but i am recovering from adrenal fatigue (actue) also. And once i started following an adrenal protocol, things started to improve right away. I was getting better and worse, up and down from June 2013 until nov 2013 when i was finally diagnosed (nov.1st) by a naturopath. The regular MD's couldnt figure out why my gut problems from a single night of abuse was dragging on for months.

Getting Dr. wilsons book like you said is a great step in the right direction. I got it shortly after i was diagnosed and read it front to back, theres a TON of good information in there.
The great thing for you now is that you have been diagnosed. Once i was diagnosed it all made so much sense why i was struggling and got easier from then on out.

So i'll share with you what i changed personally, and hopefully that will help you. I cant speak as to whether or not you should be on those pharmaceuticals but i can imagine those are hard on the body over time.

1st thing i did, give up caffeine completely. i went from drinking 3-5 cups of coffee a day to zero over the span of a few weeks.
2nd thing - switch to whole foods diet only. Nothing out of a package, can, wrapper, etc. (except uncooked oats). Diet is gluten free (even if ur not gluten sensitive), restaraunt free, Sugar free and artificial additive free.
3rd thing. Minimize external stressors as much as possible. (dr. wilson covers this well in his book)
4th - in addition to reading wilsons book, i started listening to wellness podcasts. Underground wellness was a good one that i found some info on adrenal fatigue, and gut problems from some pretty knowledgeable doctors, and the info is all free (if u dont mind listening to radio shows its not bad at all )

5th- when feeling depressed or anxious, remember that its just your temporary condition. Wellness is a long road but one that gets easier as time goes on, though there are alot of bumps.

One of the tough parts of the gut problem/adrenal combo is they need eachother to get better. Food needs to be digested well to give you fuel to recover, but poor adrenal function inhibits digestion, so the catch 22 is tough to get by, but for me, being persistent and strict with the diet has proved to be worth it, as i went from feeling hopeless and scared and sick, (august was probably my worst time), and i was given a prognosis to be 100% within 2 months from now. You can do it, your health can be restored and improved.

Sounds like you have been taking the right steps already :)
