Re: Mirena Removed Today 01.03.14
Thanks for sharing ladies. Yesterday (day of removal) the weakness and pain in my pelvic area was very intense. However, right around 11pm (almost 12 hours after removal) I felt some relief. My husband and I were watching a movie and when I got up off the couch, I did not feel wobbly, weak or in pain. On my way to bed every set of joints were gently popping and clicking, a good sign that small ligaments and tendons are shifting around. Last night I did not feel any burning in my hips and felt much stronger shifting from side to side. I did still have discomfort in my sacroiliac joint. This morning I feel so much better. A little si joint pain and pain in my left hip and leg. But, I have a history (pre-babies) of issues in that leg. However, I am cautiously optimistic. I am at the end of my period and know the symptoms always worsen at the onset of my next period. And just sitting here at the computer, I can feel my left hip start to burn. But, I do feel stronger already. Stronger than I have felt in a long time. Here's hoping!
Thebrokenrecordmachine and Ausmum, thank you for reading and responding. I am amazed at the kind of issues women are having with Mirena. But what is more shocking is that OBGYNs are suggesting it to their patients then acting like we have no validity when we come back to them with complaints. I feel like I am dealing with a used car salesman when I see a doctor now. Where has the integrity in medicine gone?
