Re: Muru's story 2 - comments and support appreciated, trigger warning
The above response is spot-on, and I echo what the author wrote. These things can be learned, by ourselves, but it takes a lot longer with more slips and falls if we choose to do this, alone.
What I do not understand is why you are posting the details of your memories on an open, online forum. I am very sorry that these things happened to you and that your parents never validated your traumas, and I don't want the following statements to be misinterpreted as flaming you. I also understand the need to get the traumas out of your head. But, as I wrote in a previous response, the details that you are writing and posting could be used by other twisted people (pedophiles) as a source of personal stimulation which translates into self-gratification. Even "benign" pedophiles will use text and imagery to feed their fantasies, and the caution is sincere. Even photos of children in their bathing suits or bathtub can be stimulus, and I'm suggesting that you save these experiences for your personal journal and counseling, if/when you choose to engage in therapy. Certainly, write about the fears, confusion, shame, and guilt - purge those feelings, absolutely. But, it is advisable to keep the details of your experiences in your personal journal, and not posted on some open venue that could possibly fuel another twisted individual's fantasies.
The suggestion to meditate doesn't mean engaging in some mystical practice. Meditating is, quite simply, quieting the mind. Paying attention to "The Now." Where you are, physically - in a classroom, office, or sitting on a rock in the middle of a forest. Then, it's recognizing what can be seen, heard, and smelled - perhaps, there is a fragrance of evergreens in the forest, or the aroma of paper and a cacophany of cologne in the office. It takes practice to learn how to find "The Now" instead of living in past events and future prediction. Meditating is quieting the mind and is just one of countless techniques to manage traumas.
If you are compelled to continue posting the details of your experiences, I will suggest that you would seriously benefit from the assistance of a trained and licensed professional to help you to process these events. "Processing" is a series of conscious actions that helps to purge, examine, and set traumas and experiences where they need to go: events of the past that cannot be undone.
