Re: High cortisol. Do I have it?

Congratulations on your 6 months of sobriety! I'm sorry that you are experiencing the symptoms that you are describing.

Are you involved in any type of support group or counseling? I realize that we all want definitive answers and results that we can point to that will explain our symptoms, but there really isn't a test that will confirm or refute the "whole self" process of withdrawal and recovery. Engaging in strong group support and\or counseling therapy with an addiction specialist will provide more benefit to you than ANY test results ever possibly could.

Managing any addiction is a mind ~ body ~ spirit process. The physical or medical issues cannot be addressed without approaching the complicated emotional issues that are part and parcel to recovery.

I would strongly urge you to engage in support group meetings if you haven't already and to seek a counseling therapist that specializes in addiction recovery.

Best wishes to you on your journey of healing and recovery.
