Re: Too much pepper?

depkidd,

You didn't mention the ~Heat Units~ that you were using in your drink.
Being that Cayenne is an integral part of the cleanse, the active ingredient (capsaicin) is important. The hotter the pepper the better. To get the maximum benefits i.e. speed up the metabolism, increase blood circulation, lowers cholesterol etc....you should use 40,000 to 90,000 heat units.

That being said, I understand that it is hard to get used to at the beginning. Alot of people buy the cooking cayenne in their grocery store (which is only about 4,000 heat units). This okay to start off until you get used to it then increase as you go.
But to get the maximum benefits one should use a minimum of 40,000 heat units to 90,000 or more the later being the best.
Check your bottle and see what you are using, if it is very hot, cut back on the amount you are using till you are comfortable. Gradually increase the dose over the next couple of days until you adjust. Its better to ease into this at the beginning until you get used to it, than jump in full force and give up too soon.
Once you get through the first 3-5 days, I promise, you will get used to it and it gets better.
My first couple of fasts I used a mild pepper (10,000) and now I use nothing less than 90,000. But I couldn't have done that at the beginning.
Props and Happy Cleansing!!
