Not so unusual. We women go to the 'powder room' regularly and want to wash our hands before eating so it's no big deal. I'd hate to order, eat and then need to use the facility and find it was...unsuitable. Multiple restaurants? Well, whatever it takes to feel comfortable. To each his own...
