Re: NO Zinc without Copper

You may be right about the zinc/copper ratio, but I have to wonder how other deficiencies may impact on this.

Many people are also deficient in other minerals and elements, such as silica, which is one of the elements the body uses to balance other minerals and remove unwanted heavy metals like mercury.

So although these issues you mention may be linked with a zinc and copper imbalance, they could just as easily be due to a deficiency of something else entirely.

All elements are synergistic. They all work with each other, and a deficiency in one can have a cascade effect right down the line as other elements struggle to work without them.

I am not sure it is always as simple as just an imbalance between two elements.

I am taking diatomaceous earth to help battle my internal unwanted lodgers. That is rich in silica along with small amounts of other minerals. It is helping. Interestingly, one of the natural remedies for this issue is pumpkin seeds. What are they rich in? Zinc.

So supplementation with extra zinc ( which I have found appears to still the mouths of the internal 'lions' [tapeworms]), can't be a bad thing. Maybe a lower dose might still have a beneficial effect. 30mg seems to be working for me at the moment, but I will monitor that. I drink the crushed pumpkin seed infusion and chew on them too.
