Re: Germany - over-iodized?
Jenifer,
Sorry to say but that is all a load of BULLCRAP, and it stinketh. You cannot overdose on iodine. The body takes what it needs and sends the rest out in urine. Even when doing this, you benefit because it helps prevent bladder & urinary infection.

IMO, I also suspect the drug companies are responsible for sending these false messages because they have MULTI-BILLIONS to lose if a population becomes
Iodine sufficient!
Here are the facts in this case.

For those few people who are having a reaction to iodine, should supplement with selenium.
Iodine without selenium can cause thyroid problems. The reverse is true. One without the other can cause thyroid problems. Or else they should eat foods rich in selenium. Burgers & fries won't do it.
Also it is MORE likely that "Modern Wheat" is the cause of their Hashi, and
Iodine is getting blamed unfairly:
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1993943#i
" Wheat germ agglutinin can enter the bloodstream and hitch a ride to other organs to places like your knees, hips, skin, thyroid gland, eyes, airways and sinuses, resulting in inflammation in those organs: arthritis, rashes, >>>Hashimoto’s thyroiditis<<<, uveitis, asthma and sinus congestion.

Study this site:

and you will see that modern wheat causes far more health problems than iodine ever could. So lets put the blame where it belongs.
