Computer Evils - MH ALERT, your sites set "tracking cookies"

I have no idea if you know this or not, but your websites (listed below) ALL set "tracking cookies" on my computer everytime I visit one of them!

For those of you that aren't aware of what a tracking cookie is, it's what happens when you visit someone's website and they want to know exactly who visits their website and how many times. So when you go to that website, the website program installs (unknown to you) a tiny program known as a cookie on your computer, that keeps record of all your visits to their website. Tracking cookies can also track/trace you EVERYWHERE you surf on the entire Internet and report that information back to the site that set the original cookie, depending upon how the owner/webmaster of the website utilizes them or sets them up to be used.

Everyone of us has what is known as an IP Address; this is basically the same in the computer world as your street address is in the real world. Once someone knows your IP Address, they can easily find out your identity (and sometimes private personal/financial data, depending upon safe/secure your own computer is, and how wise/safe you have been when filling out forms on the Internet.

MH, I have NO IDEA whether or not you realize your websites are setting tracking cookies on everyone's computer that visit your sites, or if you even knew such a thing existed. But the minute I saw those cookies on my machine, I KNEW you'd want to know about it...ASAP!! Of all the people that post on Curezone, you're probably the one that would be the most horrified to learn that your computer/websites are collecting IP addresses (hence personal data) from folks that visit your site, unbeknownst to the person that is visiting. I'm sorry I can't be of any help telling you how to stop your websites from setting tracking cookies on all of our computers - each different program/cookie is completely different...and I'm not 'computer savvy' enough to know them all.

Note: Not all cookies are "tracking cookies"...many times when you type in your user ID/password to a site (or other personal data), you are asked if you if you want the site to remember what you just typed into the form (or a check-box is provided for you to check). Whenever you go back to that site and your information magically appears in the blanks, that's a type of a cookie, too. For example Curezone uses cookies to remember your userID and password (and to remember the preferences in your profile so you don't have to fill all that out everytime you visit).
