There is a lack of cohesion of medical opinions about celiac. Some suffer from diarrhea, some don't. Back when I was suffering from this, the doctor's I saw had never heard of celiac and didn't know what gluten was. I did test positive for pretty much every intolerance test they gave me, but they were all due to gluten. Once the gluten was gone, I was happily eating dairy and fruit and all the other things I wasn't able to eat. - the best source for celiac information is the UC - Celiac Disease Center - http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/
