I believe that we're all genuinely ill. And most of us are ill in roughly the same way. If you're asking whether the illness we have specifically involves the adrenal glands being tired, then, no, I don't think we all necessarily have tired adrenal glands. Maybe we do, but quite possibly our adrenal glands are not tired, and what we have is instead probably a combination of dysregulated systems: brain (LHPA), liver, and gastrointestinal tract.

This is why in every post I call it "Adrenal Fatigue" in quotes. Because this name for the illness assumes the mechanism by which the illness works, and it hasn't been proven. And so the name could be a red herring distracting us from the true nature of the illness and the true ways in which the illness operates. Tweet
