I agree with this, which is why I didn't start posting advice on this forum until I was sure I was right. How are new people supposed to know who to listen to though especially when the truth is completely against the mainstream? This is why I have made several posts encouraging people to focus on understanding and explaining that most information, while well intended, is incorrect so that they can build a knowledge base in order to distinguish what to discard. This is how I did it. There was no other choice but it took me some time to figure out I had to do it on my own. It's hard to tell people there is no (complete) answer out there right now when they desperately want an answer and there are so many people in positions of authority offering answers. Hopefully, people in our position won't have this issue a few years from now.
