Julienna, I think Oh407, hit it on the mark also-- and you're intuition was correct.

I thought that when I got gout, it was due to my birth control Depo provera, as well as conditions where I worked, but a year before I had gout, I also got Shingles, and was on a prescription med for that. (this was way before I took responsiblity for my health )

From reading your first post- I bet my shingle's perscription could have been responsible- as well as the Depo Provera shot that lowered my immune system.

I don't recall exactly what I was given- but it could have been the same as your shingles medication too. Hmmmmm.. very interesting! Tweet
