high startle response

Wow, massive thunder and lightening last night at 3:30.

Woke me up with heart palpitations and anxiety.
Than did drift off a bit and than more real loud thunder.
There ruined my night.

Had to take melatonin and L-THeanine and than still hard to get back to sleep.

I should have just stayed up till it was over.
Never the less, my startle response is still real bad.

I never did like loud thunder anyway, even when I was healthy, but never ruined a nights sleep.

ANy of you still deal with these "uncontrolled" responses with AF and the Central Nervous System.?
