Re: Gout questions
Thanks, MH! I probably do have weak kidneys, as I had a kidney infection
once many years ago (mid-1980s). Thought I had healed up from that
totally, as I never experienced another problem. But perhaps they are
inherently weak, because I had the infection in the first place.
I do go without socks for most of the year--living in California, one rarely
needs socks anyway, only on the coldest winter days, and then only long enough
to get to work. Once there I can take them off. I wear open shoes (Merrell
sandals)--practically all I've worn in the past 26 years or so (in the old
days I used to wear Birks). I generally like to be a bit more active than
I have in the recent past, but I had to get my energy back after the shingles
I had in late spring. Now that's over, I can take more walks, if I can get
over the pain. Today it's a lot better than it was yesterday. As I'm fasting
at the moment, I can't eat cherries, much as I'd love to. I'm hoping I can
still get some to break my fast with.
