I have had Enzema off and on for 15 years. Spent a lot of money buying creams/gels and special moisturizers recommended by my dermatologist, as well as the aggravation of having it. Never went away, would hibernate and then pop back up and I just got used to a scaly left palm all the time. I started using coconut oil (Spectrum organic refined) about 2 weeks ago because of reading on the net some people had luck with coconut oil... and I use it for cooking and had it in my cabinet! I have persian cats so what it did was buy thin gloves and cut off the fingers so I could apply the oil to my palm in the evening and cover it with the glove so it wouldn't get on my cats when I pet them. Using the glove may have helped penetrate it better since it was locked in and stayed on all night. My 3" patch of those white itchy bumps and scaly skin on my palm is almost gone and more than 2/3 of the patch has returned to normal feeling skin. The other 1/3 is on it's way. It looks to me like the coconut oil found the root of the problem and is not only getting rid of that but also moisturizing/repairing my skin at the same time. When this last little 1/4" x 1/2" patch goes away, I'm taking a picture of it and sending to my dermatologist so he will at least mention it to some of his other patients. I've gone FIFTEEN YEARS having this crap and the simple solution was something you buy to cook with!!!! LOL!
