Re: Journey update *edited*
Nice update! I agree 100% with regards to the lifestyle changes... especially diet/alcohol. Funny thing, I believe
Iodine has helped with the will power and decreasing chemical dependencies (particularly mine with caffeine/alcohol).
*edit* i say this because I 'weaned' myself off coffee in the first or second week of iodine... it wasn't a conscious effort. but i noticed that i stopped having a craving and didn't make any for like 4 days before i really noticed it. it was that caffeine withdrawal headache that was my first cue, and i realized "ah, haven't had coffee in days!". i will drink it when my husband makes it, here and there, but i was an ADDICT for 10 years i would say. first thing, every morning, was that coffee.
My only "RD" is a natural herb that grows from the earth ;) which I have cut out in the past few months as well. That will power/decreased need for herb/alcohol I think is due not only to
Iodine but nutritional deficiencies being addressed.
I need to get back into the consistent exercise regimen, I know that would make a load of difference too (e.g., sweating, flushing lymph system).
