Re: blue cheese update & saccharomyces boulardii

Kind of interesting post. Anyone making assumptions about why it is working is just guessing. People just react differently to different things.

Penicillin was first discovered from people eating mold, so there might be Antibiotic properties to the cheese. Also in the Gotschall diet, any aged cheeses are preferred over non-aged. Actually people on the paleo diet eat something called high meat, which is basically little marbles of rotten meat.

Melons and unrefined Sugar always worked fine for me as a good energy source, especially watermelon, with no flare ups in symptoms. White Sugar is a different story though. I even did well eating ice cream for a long period of time, it helped to get me out of a bedridden state.

We have 4 or 5 taste senses depending on who the source is and one of those is sweet, so eliminating sweet from the diet seems to be pretty myopic.

I tried Boulardi a few times with no effects whatsoever, positive or negative.

I'm looking into B. Infantis soon.
