Re: Involuntary vomiting immediately after eating.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with Rumination Syndrome. Symptoms : very little to no acid reflux, food still" taste like food" when it involuntarily comes back up. She regurgitates as many as 80-90 x a day. sounds like a lot, but she has to keep reswallowing the food until it stays down. that is part of the protocol of treatment at nationwide. many articles on the internet misinform that this is primarily found in children with mental retardation. this is simply not true, there is a great article on the nationwide site about this illness. She is showing some improvement with the diaphramtic breathing and biofeedback- only had food come up25 x yesterday. She is scheduled for testing in May at Nationwide Children's Hospital in OH.- this cannot get here soon enough for us.
