The end of June 2013 will mark my 2 year anniversary of having the Mirena(Devil) removed. I don't come on here very often but I like to check in and share my experiences with others who are suffering at the hands of this stupid device. I would love to say I'm 100% but sadly I still suffer from bad days but luckily now it is usually before or during my period. As I read peoples posts month after month, I swear it sounds like I could have written them, yours included. I too suffered from horrible debilitating anxiety/panic attacks and at first I thought I was dying because I never had them prior to Mirena. Insomnia of usually up to three days at a time with no sleep at all, hot flashes, night sweats, shakes/weird electrical buzzing feeling, dizziness, heart palpitations, hair loss, dry eyes and dry mouth and IBS/digestion problems. The only symptoms I get now are anxiety, IBS and the electrical/shaky feeling and I usually only get them around my period/hormonal and not on a constant basis like it was for about the first 8 months to a year after removal. I find I feel better when I eat better and completely cut out alcohol because for some reason even one glass of red wine makes my heart race and gives me that weird electric current feeling and can keep me from sleeping :( It does get better, it just takes some of us a really long time but so far it has SLOWLY gotten better and it will for you too. Hang in there! :D
