Re: Mirena removed almost 2 months ago. Advice needed, please
Hi Kelly,
Everything you explained above is what I am currently going thru. I am 2 months post removal and yes the mirena does consume,my mind as well. It is hard for it not too.
We go thru periods of feeling normal to feeling panicky/anxiety ridden(that is what happens to me anyways).
From my research so far,the levongestrel is the same hormone found in the Norplant Implant(which was recalled and taken off the shelves in the US mid 90's and again in 2001 under the name,Jadelle: Women were complaining of anxiety and also,it ruptured their reproductive organs).
I also read online, thatif you are between 83-121 lbs, the hormone goes in your blood faster and hence takes longer for it to get out of your body, which may be why it is a longer recovery process.
My advice, is to keep yourself moving. I mean physically active, I pace up and down the hallways like a nutjob in my home, with the panic attacks. I dont want my BF to see me l ike this because it is embarssing as hell, but thats my only relief and he is supportive.
Still I think he deserves someone who isnt so messed up.
You can take a detox bath, with
Epsom Salts , I started that recently and I am going to the gym.
I too am looking for a cure from this.
I have noticed a pattern, when my heart has palpitations I know the anxiety attacks are coming within a day or two.
Also, Ive only had one period so far and before it came the anxiety was bad!
If you know of anything/forms of relief, let me know!
Best of Luck!
