Re: Can anyone help me figure this out?
:\ wow u sound so much like i did when i started with this! My case started with a gluten intolerance and then ended up with many other digestive problems that made me think i had celiac and leaky gut and sibo and all these different things! I was freaking out a lot and after doing many tests i found i was wasting my money and my time making over assumptions about things because a lot of these things i didn't have.. i can't say what you do have, but u need to calm down!
Candida does cause very bad reactions to gluten definitely as well as to many other carbs.. it's not always just about feeding the yeast, but it can be that you are becoming intolerant to other carbs as they have similar protein structures to gluten and can also be quite inflammatory foods.. i also thought originally that i had a bad case of leaky gut because i was beginning to react to so many foods, but after following a good diet (a candida diet combined with the diet recommended for my ayurvedic dosha) my symptoms have alleviated quite a bit and my leaky gut is nowhere near as bad as i thought! It can be really difficult, but making sure that you avoid foods that you may have built up sensitivities to which are often things like other grains, peanuts, dairy, soy, nightshades, dehydration etc (u probably already know) as well as any food that you may have eaten A LOT of.. but obviously not everyone is the same, i have problems with many non gluten grains which i rarely ate, but I'm fine with rice even though i eat it quite a bit.. i really hope i'm not freaking you out! Things that are high in omega 3's and 5's (like EFA's, seeds etc) are very anti inflammatory and should be incorporated into your diet, fatty fish are good too but due to mercury content they shouldn't be eaten too often.. things like aloe vera and glutamine i think are good too..
i hope you figure this out! you'll probably feel better once you get more tests, but as long as you are finding and following good info you'll probably feel much better.. I think you should take a look at
