I haven't seen any research on this topic but I certainly agree that in my experience, candida is in a much more controllable state when I eat a high carbohydrate diet. I DO feel that when you try to eat low-carb and starve the candida, it somehow changes form and embeds deeper into the body. The body also goes into a state of decreased digestive capacity and lowered immunity on a low-carb diet. I don't eat a raw vegetarian diet and I don't think this diet will work for everyone but you also can't argue with people who feel good on this diet, if it works for them, then that is what their specific body needs. I eat some fruit and high carb, low fat and I feel the best on this diet. Generally, high carbohydrate diet is the best diet and favored by all forms of animal life. The only animal life that eats a high protein diet are true predators like lions and tigers and even these predators prefer animal blood to animal meat which has high levels of sugars and these will be extremely lean animals with very low fat content. The optimal diet will vary from person to person, but all people will need a good amount of carbohydrates, some may need very low fat, others can eat a bit more, some should have a bit more protein, but generally carbohydrates are the food of life.
