Do you mind sharing if you were doing Iodine all the time while trying to conceive and while pregnant? And how much were you doing. After getting undesirable fertility hormone results, I have stopped iodoral for a while but I am hypothyroid and have extreme intolerance to cold, lack of sweating, cold hands and feet etc. and I feel this has played a big role in my fertility problem and I am so dead scared of passing on a deficiency to my child if I ever do become pregnant. So I intend to go back on Iodine after a few weeks.

Since you have been there done that, would you have a suggestion on a maintenance dose? Would 12.5mg be any help? I was taking 25mg each day. How much and for how long did you take it while trying to get pregnant?

If anyone has any dose recommendation that can be safely taken while trying and while pregnant,please do share. I am amazed at the range of knowledge I have come across on this forum, that I can never imagine coming from any medical practitioner. I have wasted years getting the right help for my thyroid.
