Re: Parasite that looks like hair
I've noticed these emerging from under my nails, skin, in mucous, and private areas. When I first started trying to treat I had hairlike things up to an
inch long, now they are mostly 1mm or less. (20x magnification)
Garlic, Ginger, Tumeric, and a
Colon Cleanse system have all contributed to shedding. I have them emerging from under my nails. It can take up to six months to be rid of the underlying infection once they've established under the nail bed.
I *think* it's debris (hair-like hooks) from dying parasites. I think the larger ones may have been a type of hookworm that enters via the hair follicle and attaches just under the skin.
Be patient and persistent in treatment, acidophilus helps with the ph imbalance, I take it two hours after the garlic/herbs. I find powdered acidophilus in water the most helpful, but it is more expensive.
I use herbal and supplemental health powders when not actively cleansing. Head and Shoulders (scalp) and benzoyl peroxide cleanser (skin and nails). Benzoyl Peroxide is used to treat cystic
Acne which can be parasitic in up to 70% of cases.
I'm married to an Internal Medicine MD, and he took me to a Dr. who prescribed an anti-psychotic for my "delusional parasitism". BTW - it didn't help! He took a sample from my mucous to a microbiologist who said it was not any organism he had ever seen or knows of! I've seen similar specimens identified (online) in Medical Journals... My mood is affected by his attitude, I take SAM-E which is thought to help "management" of parasitic infections.
Try not to worry about the doubters, we know and understand our own bodies best.
Worrying over whether anyone else finds my experience believable or even plausible consumed me and kept me from proper treatment for 18 months. I saw a 2 Dermatologists, 2 ENT's, Infectious Disease, 2 Rheumatologists, even an OB/GYN. They shrugged their shoulders at my symptoms and diagnosed 7 serious medical conditions, all of which I developed within 6 months.
My symptoms included: Tissue Swelling and pain, and numerous itchy rashes, Cysts on my knuckles and joints, bowel changes and problems...
I was diagnosed with: Cystic Acne, Irritable Bowel, Crohn's disease,
Rheumatoid Arthritis , Chronic Bronchitis, Chronic Sinusitus, etc. which led to the potential diagnosis of Scleroderma.
As his symptoms continue to get worse but mine improve I'm hoping he'll have to amend his belief system. Admitting he's mistaken will be the very last thing he'll consider. He'll believe I'm experiencing a placebo effect...
My symptoms are all resolving -in reverse order- but since the underlying cause remained untreated for 12-18 months, I know it could take that long to treat. Good Luck!
