Re: Parasite that looks like hair

Yes, I read the same article. My illness began when we had tiny and very black gnats in our front yard because of a leaking sprinkler. These gnats or flies left millions of tiny yellow eggs in all the dirt in the flowerbed. Next they got into the carpets and every night they swarmed me to the point I dove under the covers and they still got to me. My small dogs would wake and be bothered by the flies and literally would get under the covers with me. Late night and early morning every day. They never bothered my hubby, nor did he admit to seeing them. I tore out the carpet, took base molding from the baseboards, sprayed insect spray and glued the baseboard back. When I vacuumed they aggressively flew into my chest, ears, eyes, nose and unknown to me at the time, landed on the back of my head. I only learned this when I was passing by a mirror. I had been wondering where exactly they flew off to because I never saw them on the walls or counters. I had long blond hair and began noticing that after scratching at the back of my head I had greasy inky black streaks. They landed on the surface of the pool water and at first glance the pool looked like it was full of black water. The pool tech said alot of pools in the neighborhood were experiencing the same inky, shiny black flies/gnats. I also learned later that the rubber piece where the toilet tank attaches to the bowl was not sealed properly and they were flying in the bathroom. When I replaced the toilet flapper the underside facing the sewer line was covered in shiny black inky residue. They were so small that other than they shiny black color you only knew they were swarming when you felt them. Long story and much more I could say about this experience but I have said enough. Yes! The article really hit home for me!
