Re: Estrogen and Adrenal Fatigue
Absolutely Paulette - estrogen is essential - yet easy for other hormones to go out of whack creating an estrogen dominance.
I too was on the pill - and at that time put on weight (the only time in my life despite eating like a horse - i've always resembled a rake!)
Interestingly too, after having the Depo-Provera injection years ago when young and foolish - literally when i got home i slept and slept - and ever-since was extremely moody, fatigued, cranky - full blown PMT continuously. I never had that injection again!
I've been off birth control Dianette since 2005 - but never have recovered. I lost the weight. But mood swings and jitters and other symptoms have been creeping in since - up to 4 months ago my adrenals crashed.
Reversing such damage i'm willing to do but can't do it 'blind' without knowing true hormone levels. I rarely visit doc's in my life - but due to feeling extremely unwell i did - and he refused to even check over me. Just offered anti-depressants!
Do you guys find female doctors to be more understanding than male doctors?
I'm not looking forward to going from doctor to doctor to get just someone to draw some blood.
If any other doc says 'it's all in your head' i swear i'm going to sue for professional negligence!! I'm so angry at the medical establishment for generally ignoring millions of people with endocrine disorders.
