Yeah unfortunately I dont think its that simple. If that were the case then steroids and Tacrolimus (Protopic) would work for more people.

I have seen my inflammation go down drastically when I used oral and topical steroids and especially when I used Cyclosporine. But in all cases the peeling continued.

However most people continue to peel their lips while using steroids and Protopic so I wonder if that affects the progress.

I did use prednisone (oral steroid) while I was leaving them alone and it didnt help, but when I used prednisone before it wasnt as effective as the topical steroid I used anyways. So I am interested in hearing about someone trying a topical steroid or tacrolimus without constantly peeling their lips.
