Re: Reactive Hypoglycemia and reactive Arthritis caused by H pylori ?.
Hi , thanks for the reply. That's the problem really though , I'm following a high carb , low fat diet , everyday I eat 6 pieces of gluten free bread , one meal with a ton of mini potatoes with their skins on , another meal with sweet potatoes and my last meal with roast potatoes.
Not to mention carrots and various other starchy veg. The only fat I eat really now comes from hummus and a small bit of chicken every two days.
I was a keen follower of the high carb low fat diet ( there was even low levels of fat in my stool sample result ) but it seems carbs are giving me a reaction now. It's not so much candida I'm worried about at the moment but various microbes in general.
The dr who studied my stool sample results said the following:
" Where there is gut fermentation almost invariably there is hypoglycaemia and possibly vice versa - the two are certainly in close association with each other. The reason for this is that the fermenting gut produces alcohol and alcohol has a major destabilizing effect on blood
Sugar levels. Broadly speaking years ferment monosaccharides and disaccharides ( fructose, glucose, sucrose ) whilst bacteria ferment disaccharides , polysaccharides and starches. The evolutionary correct diet is the zero-carb diet based on protein fat and vegetable fibre. "
I'm noticing bread and potatoes in particular seems to be bringing on this eye pain , dizziness and light headedness which is getting really bad. It sounds like it's not alot to complain about but when your head is spinning so much you can't stand up it's not a nice experience.
Basically the Dr who looked over my results seems to be under the impression that the bacteria is fermenting any direct
Sugar or carbs I eat and causing this symptoms through a reactive chain of events as well as causing the digestive symptoms in the long term for simply being there.
It's a tricky one.
