Re: patterns of wrong behavior

Seeking qualified help can come from a lama, a reiki-healer or some other health-care practitioner that understands the nature of the problem and wasn't meant to refer only to a psychiatrist. Sometimes a psychiatrist is needed but I think both you and I know they have their limitations.

I have also been meditating for more than thirty years on average of three or four hours a day. I would NOT tell you or anyone to stop doing what you are doing in regards to meditation or breath-work. If it is certainly helps then more power to you. I am not here to step on anyone's toes or make them feel bad about their spiritual-path.

But, how many more individuals are practicing wrong breathing that stimulates the kundalini energies in a harmful way? How many more practitioners are entering the astral realms and don't know how to defend themselves from psychic attack? How many don't know grounding exercises as a safe antidote to racing thoughts?

In reality, there are many.

We all have seen mental illness on the rise dramatically in the past ten years. Deep spiritual seekers are now being labeled as having Manic-depression, Schizophrenia, or Borderline Personality Disorder. My article was to let others see the patterns of behavior that develops through having mistaken conceptions on the spiritual-path. Hopefully, if someone can correct their errors (before its too late) they can stay clear of the pitfalls and not get hurt.

As a rule of thumb, the PRINCIPLE has always been to stop all meditation, stop all breath-work and channeling until you can figure out what is going on and correct yourself. Many great authors have suggested this as well. After you fixed the problem you can go back to meditation or whatever you were doing. It sounds like you solved yours. That's great.

blessings,
Neo
