Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

The word verifies our ministry, and like Paul we too are ambassadors for Christ not of bu for.

They in from the closing of the Gospel through to Paul needed signs to SIGNify their ministry. we have the word that SIGNifieS our ministry.

To mix Matt 16 with 1Cor12 is an error of confusing scripture.
