It's important for all kinds of reasons, but one being that how do we have any security as believers in Christ if we can have demons inside us, etc? Now I know this would get into a whole other debate because many of you don't believe in the security of a believer. But to me, this is another extremely important subject that we do not all agree on in this forum which leads to all kinds of other problems.

The bible says believers are a new creation:

2 Corinthians 5:17:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.


Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

We still have the flesh, with it's indwelling sin, but we don't have evil spirits residing in us.

This gets into so much more, but it is very important in my opinion.
