my son and I saw Dr. cahill on july 12. I was diagnosed with Eh and my 13 year old son has giardia and Eh. He prescribed paramycin and Doxycycline. I just saw my primary last week to check my liver function. he also added Tinidazole to my med. i have not stared my med yet. i am doing an ultra sound tomorrow to check my liver and gallbladder. i have all the symptoms you mentioned. i have been struggling with this for past three years. i also saw my son's GI today to show him of the diagnoses and he said he was probably infected after we had tested his stool. he did do blood works for liver function and some other basic stuff. i am hoping to start our treatment in a week.
i think our gut has been so damaged that even after the treatment it will take some time to go back to the way it was. we probably be suffering from IBS for a while. I have always been taking probiotic and HCL.
I know how you feel. it can be exhausting.
