what drives us to sin is not our "not FEELING God anymore" but rather our sin nature.

Job didn't FEEL God for sometime during his trial yet he never sinned. He error was believing his righteousness was enough to get him God's favor.

God's Favor is not earned it is a gift. God's favor is getting what you did not deserve.

We should never rely on our FEELINGS to dictate our lives but the pure and preserved words of God. Not the preserved general teachings of God's word but His preserved words every one.
