Actually, coconut oil does not contain ANY arginine. Arginine is as amino acid, which is found in protein. Coconut oil is pure fat pressed from the coconut -- it has absolutely no protein and therefore no amino acids or arginine whatsoever. So it is fine to use topically AND internally. The confusion comes from the fact that Ccoconut meat does contain a high arginine:lysine ratio, but this just doesn't apply to oils of any kind.
