Re: Oils

"oils are way too important to screw around with"

Yes, I am uncompromising when it comes to oils. I have read somewhere that the skin under your feet reveals if you use the right fat in you life an have a good omega balance.

If not balanced there will be cracs, thick and or dry skin.

I used to take omega 3 oils earlier,(both udos, and fish oil /seal oil) but found little to no effect of it, besides when I opened the capsules I far to often noticed a rancid smell..
If one buy real food, like organic eggs where the hens have had the possibility to pick some grass, insects and worms, the balance between the fatty acids are fine. Same with grassfed meat. Fish and seafood is a good source too, provided it is not farm raised.

Now and again I have intense craving for seafood; like today I had to have a can of sardines, then sushi with a seaweed salad, and just now some eggs with cod roe caviar. The body knows what it needs.
If supplementing with omega 3 etc.oils I would make sure It was fresh (smell),I would take it from a bottle, I would add some vit E into it + a couple of drops of essential oils for a better taste.

It is important to have a good portion of saturated fat in the diet; as omega-3 fatty acids are better retained in the tissues when the diet is rich in saturated fats.
