Re: Yes [nfm]
well, regarding the cofactors:
I never did well with any form of vit b supplementation.
For a time I did ok with ascorbic acid, but not anymore, I get my C from food.
I've done selenium and
Iodine together. It feels like it is potentiating the
Iodine well. The problem is what happens afterward. For a long time I thought I was just overstimulating and taxing my adrenals with either too much
Iodine and/or iodine plus selenium as selenium helps convert t4 to t3. Now I'm open to other possibilities but also open to my original thought that I am overtaxing the adrenals.
It is hard to explain what I feel when i take this combo. It's sort of like i feel it working splendidly for about 20 minutes, like I'm about to break through into a new level of health and then running into a biochemical brick wall.
Salt definitely makes me feel good, and it has been a part of restoring my adrenals.
I've done 3 salt pushes in my life. The last one triggered a
kidney stone attack and 4 weeks of pure hell until the stone passed. I'm scared to death of salt pushes.
I'm sort of stuck in a not so bad place compared to where I've been. With the right combination of salt, some animal protein, sauna, occasional iodine or kelp my temperature is close to 98.6. I don't necessarily feel great though even when my temp is normal. Getting to the next level, whatever that is, hasn't happened.
Some people think hypothyroid is primarily an adrnenal issue, and I have to say I've made much more progress with just plain salt than anything else, especially in the a.m.
