Re: Probiotic Doses for Candida Treatment
I'm again researching to see what may be a good choice for a probiotic.
What I want to add is about our water supply coming into our home. Is it well water or municipally treated water?
I know little about well water other than I'd rather be on it than municipally treated water.
Here's why:
Our cities and towns that supply water to their residents use a Chlorine Bleach (NSF Food Grade) to treat the water to keep it from making us sick from water born disease. Thats a good thing.
BUT
This Chlorine also KILLS Bacteria. Not just the bad bacteria in our body, but also our friendly bacteria. This friendly bacteria inhabits our digestive system, from our mouth to our anus. I have read that up to 80% of our immune system is in our intestinal tract and that the daily use of Chlorinated water, (those people on a municipally treated water supply) will wipe out these incredibly important strains of bacteria.
So before one spends hundreds of dollars on these hugely important probiotics, they need to eliminate the Chlorine from their water supply. A whole house filter, a shower filter, rubber gloves when washing dishes, reconsidering swimming in a pool that is Chlorinated and any ideas I missed would be a great step prior to taking probiotics.
Read Jon Barrons "Lessons from the Miracle Doctors", Chapter called "Dying of Thirst". Also spend time over on Dr. Mercola's website as well.
