Home Culture Production and Resultant pH

Home Culture Production and Resultant pH

The link below is for a report about some of
my batches of home culturing with water, cow milk,
goat milk and coconut milk using inulin and arabinogalactan
as prebiotics with McCombs Flora Prime, Jarro-dolphilus EPS, and Jarrow Bifidus Balance as probiotics.

I started with about 10 Billion and guess that these
microbes will double in number about 3 times, so the
final culture might have about 80 billion CFU.

Home culturing is a good way to determine if the
probiotics you purchase are still alive when you
eat them.

Home culturing is also a good method to determine if
the microbes in yogurt and kefir are still alive
by use some of the product as the probiotic inoculant.
You do have to use techniques to ensure that you do
not add unintended microorganisms from the
environment to your culture.
