The ideal approach is to eat breakfast early in the morning, and eat your last meal early enough so that the food is digested before going to bed. There is no need to restrict this to a short time.
By the way, I live in the real world, and deal with all of the realities everyone else deals with. For example, if I finish work late, I may eat later than ideal, etc. etc. The idea is to do your best, in all aspects of diet and lifestyle.
People who are health conscious, on average, live longer, and have better quality of life when they are older.
